Brothers (2009)

The good boy of the family, who is also a soldier in Afghanistan, is captured and kills a friend of him in order to save his life. This changes his whole behaviour towards his family and his brother, but in the last minute he does the right thing. One more of the thousands of films that the honour and the integrity of the character of the American soldiers is rhapsodised. Apart from that, the movie has nothing new and nothing worth commenting. It runs in relatively slow rhythm and has some peaks. The cast is the new generation of American actors, Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal. None of them really makes an extraordinary contribution. The movie is simply OK!
