My Left Foot : The story of Christy Brown (1989)

It is about a true story of a man that in his life had only his left foot in function. The catch of the movie is that he is very intelligent and this leads him to a relatively successful life. It is an Irish film with a very nice direction of Jim Sheridan, but most of all the incredible acting of Daniel Day-Lewis who won the Oscar for the lead role. It might not be so very difficult to perform the role of a disabled person, but the actor is transmitting every single feeling this kid has against all the problems that appear until he becomes a man. Happy to have watched this movie!
